Skillet Vegetables & Smoked Sausage

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound smoked sausage (sliced )
  • 4 large potatoes (peeled and cubed)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 2 bell peppers (sliced in strips)
  • 2-3 squash (cubed)
  • 3-4 okra (sliced) optional
  • 1 1/4 cups frozen corn
  • 1 tsp. Turmeric
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced) or garlic powder
  • 3 tbs. Worcestershire
  • Chicken broth (as needed)
  • 3 tbs. Butter
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Procedure:

  1. In an electric skillet melt the 3 tbs. Of butter.
  2. Add above ingredients except for sausage and chicken broth, sauté and brown.
  3. Move sautéed mixture to one end of skillet, add sausage to other end and brown the sausage. Turn both mixtures separately as needed.
  4. Add chicken broth as needed for moisture. When the sausage has browned, mix
  5. the two sides together.
  6. Continue cooking until done.
  7. 6.Serve with your favorite rice. Enjoy!
